Kenya Airways to Fly to Ougadougou, Burkina Faso

   Kenya Airways is set to start flights to Ougadougou, Burkina Faso from Monday 15th July, 2011 thereby increasing its flight routes to 55.

   A a Boeing 737 – 800 will ply the route twice weekly on Monday and Friday via Canotou, Benin's capital.

   According to a press release on Kenya Airways website, the airline Chief Executive Officer Dr Titus Naikuni mentioned that their plan was to ensure that the airline flies to all capital cities in Africa.

   "Ougadougou is the 2nd of the routes that we have opened this year after Ndjamena in Chad, with plans at various stages for a further 6 destinations in the course of this financial year.” Said Dr Naikuni.

   This is good news for Kenya as it opens up its tourism sector to Benin's visitors. It will be up to Kenyans to market their country to the visitors.
